NO Wind Turbines
the ORIGINAL sign
This sign was intended to let neighbors know that they were not signing up for the project and had NOT signed a contract. It was necessary because developers were spreading misinformation, that “all” the neighbors were signing up, and this simply was not true.

Wind "farms" Are NOT Farms
Wind “farms” are, in fact, industrial power plants. The technical term is Wind Energy Conversion Systems or WECS.
Farm (noun) : a piece of land used for growing crops or raising animals.
-
Too Tall, Too Close, Too Loud
There ARE known interferences and safety concerns with industrial turbines.
When properly zoned, the impact on a community’s quality of life and safety can be minimized. Due to ACT 102-1123 turbines can be built too close to non-participating land owners resulting in trespass zoning.
-
Crops not Watts
Central Illinois has some of the most fertile top soil in the world. Farmers are able to grow abundant crops. This land will be farmed by a proud American farmer and not leased to industrial wind energy companies controlled by foreign investors.
-
It's Greed not Green
The big push for turbines in rural Illinois is fueled by CORPORATE GREED. Wind Energy Companies hide behind the mask of “green energy”, but the data and money tells a very different story.
